Beyond creating new drafts, Claude Code can read an existing article's current content and write revisions back to it — useful when a code change has made part of an article stale, or when you just want an existing article expanded.
The edit follows a read-then-write flow: it reads the article's current content first, then writes back a revision. Just like a brand-new article, an edit to an existing one always lands as a draft awaiting your review, even if the article being edited was already published.
