Developer docs support multiple versions side by side — handy when your API changes across major releases and readers need docs matching whichever version they're integrating against.
The version lifecycle
A version moves through four states: draft (hidden from the public site while you build it out), beta, stable, and deprecated. Only draft versions are hidden — beta, stable, and deprecated are all publicly visible, just labeled accordingly.
Managing versions
Create and reorder versions from the doc-versions admin page, and switch between them from the same sidebar switcher your readers use publicly. The public site shows a colour-coded version switcher and a banner indicating which version a reader is currently looking at.
