Claude Code can manage developer-docs specific structures directly: creating new doc versions, refreshing an API reference from an updated OpenAPI spec, and writing a version's release notes.
Writing to a hidden draft version is always safe. But updating a public version's release notes, or refreshing an already-published API reference, are live changes to what readers see right now — Claude Code requires your explicit confirmation before either one, rather than doing it silently.
